Terms and Conditions - Alif Zafar Sons

These terms apply when you order from alifzafarsons.com. Please read them before ordering. By placing an order you accept them.

Prices

All prices are in Pakistani Rupees.

We may change prices at any time. The price that applies to your order is the one shown when you placed it, provided payment reaches us within the hold period below.

Payment

We accept bank transfer in advance and cash on delivery. Cash on delivery adds a Rs 120 fee to the order, shown at checkout before you confirm.

Paying in advance is cheaper and gets your order on its way sooner, since we dispatch as soon as the payment clears rather than waiting for a courier to collect the cash.

The terms below about holding stock, proof of payment and verification apply to advance payment. A cash on delivery order is confirmed as soon as you place it, and no stock hold or proof of payment is needed. If you refuse a cash on delivery parcel at the door we may ask for the delivery cost before accepting a further order.

When you place an order we hold the stock for 48 hours. If payment has not reached us within that time the order is cancelled automatically and the stock is released. There is no penalty for this and you are welcome to order again.

Please quote your order reference in the transfer remarks, and send proof of payment by WhatsApp to +92 311 1132320. Proof should show the amount, the date and the sending account.

A payment is confirmed when the funds appear in our account, not when a screenshot is received. Transfers within Pakistan by RAAST or IBFT usually clear within minutes. Cross-bank transfers and cheques take longer. Payments are verified on working days.

If you pay less than the order total we will hold the order until the balance arrives. If you overpay we will refund the difference or hold it as credit, whichever you prefer.

Orders

Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we confirm the order and payment has cleared. We may decline an order, for example where stock has sold out, where a price was shown in error, or where we cannot verify payment. If we decline an order after you have paid, we refund you in full.

Stock

We show whether an item is in stock but not how many we hold. Stock moves quickly during the Holy month of Ramadan. If an item sells out after you order it we will contact you and either supply an alternative or refund you.

Product descriptions

We describe every item by its hawala number and its specification, including lines per page, paper, binding and page count. Photographs are of the actual edition. Paper shade may vary slightly while binding design and its color can be completely different between print runs, as shown in product photograph(s), which is normal for hand-bound work and is not a fault.

Intellectual property

The text, photographs and design of this website belong to Alif Zafar Sons. Please do not copy our product photographs or descriptions for use elsewhere.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and the courts at Lahore have jurisdiction.
