What we collect
- When you order: your name, delivery address, phone number and email address.
- When you pay: the proof of payment you send us, which normally shows the sending account title and the last digits of the account number. We never ask for and never want your full banking credentials, card numbers, PIN or one-time passwords. Nobody from Alif Zafar Sons will ever ask you for these. If someone does, it is not us.
- When you contact us: your message and the number or address you sent it from, including on WhatsApp.
- When you browse: cookies that keep your basket working and basic traffic statistics.
What we use it for
To take payment, pack and send your order, keep you updated on it, answer your questions, keep our accounts as the law requires, and prevent fraud. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.
Who else sees it
Only those who need it to complete your order: the courier or cargo service carrying your parcel, our bank, and the companies hosting this website. Each sees the minimum needed. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Marketing
If you sign up for our newsletter we will send you occasional news about new editions. You can unsubscribe from any message. We will not add you to a marketing list just because you placed an order.
How long we keep it
Order and payment records are kept for as long as our accounting and tax obligations require. Enquiries that do not become orders are kept for up to two years. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
